Hannibal Munk har nærstuderet alle danske satiretegninger fra den spæde start på Søren Kierkegaards tid og helt frem til i dag og skrevet afhandlingen “Den visuelle leder: satiretegning i dansk dagspresse siden 1924” – det største studie af sin art nogensinde i dansk sammenhæng.

Lecture: The History of Danish Satirical Cartooning

Hannibal Munk has closely studied all Danish satirical drawings from the early days of Søren Kierkegaard to the present day and has written the thesis ‘The Visual Leader: Satire Drawing in The Danish Daily Press Since 1924’ - the largest study of its kind ever in a Danish context.


Meet him at CREATE Festival, where he takes us through the history of satire cartooning in words and images, and sheds new light on our perception of Danish satire cartooning as particularly dangerous and liberated.
